Well, the time has come to beta test our new ladder system and officially unveil our new and updated site. Please come out and help test our ladders for Halo3 and MW2

As we wrap up on our new clan match ladder system, most team leaders are anxious to build their team and start playing with the new tools. Clantacular.com started in 2006 as a Halo 2 clan recruiting tool. Two months later Bungie dropped ranked clan matches from their XBL match making service causing mass hysteria and disorienting thousands of Halo 2 clans. Clantac had a lonely 23 members that day. We scrambled to throw together a season long tournament for clans including a basic ladder system to keep track of clan stats. We were honored when Bungie announced it to their members and thousands of clans joined and got involved in the birth of our community. We invested a lot of time and money on fighting the halo 2 clan match cheating and developed ways to submit matches via players Bungie RSS feeds to help secure legitimate game records creating a system that allowed clans to battle in their own style. Many large clan communities partnered with us and we became a preferred clan match community for competitive to recreational Halo clans.


Nearly 4 years later, we have come to a cross roads. With new games (like COD) and new platforms (upcoming over the next few years) capturing the hearts of tactical clans and players, we have decided that expanding our base from Halo to other games would be a necessary move in order to remain a stronghold in the first person shooter clan match world.


So with this in mind, we spent months reviewing ideas on how to start over from scratch and deliver the tools needed for the community to expand and dominate the clan match industry again. Being a free community doesn’t allow us to invest large amounts of money to build a new ladder system from scratch, much less maintain upgrades as the industry adapts to new mind blowing clan oriented games. So we have decided to invest in a project that has reliable support from the developers as well as one of the best systems we have come across for handling multiple games, even platforms until we develop our own custom ladders in the future.
