The Panic Attacks, aka TPA, are a guild founded by friends. As such, community is among our top priorities. Progress in the game is important to everyone, but for us it is just as important to keep the game fun.

1. General

Do not show disrespect to your guildies. Joking around is fine, but if the leadership says you have crossed the line, the "have a sense of humor" line will not bail you out.

No racism, sexism, or other bigotry. This is a social game, grow up.

No one below the age of 16 should be admitted into the guild.

Do not beg for run-throughs in Guild Chat.

Registration on this website and a commitment to having read and understood these rules is required for advancement to Member rank.

2. Guild Bank

Tab 1: Herbs - Is used to store Herbs. To make flasks for the guild bank and any other use we may need.

Tabs 2 and 3: FS - Items for sale to the guild for raiding purposes (never for PVP or for profit) at prices set way below AH value. Players should contact a Staff or Leader to make a purchase. Prices vary by rank as follows:

- Members pay 50% of AH* value
- Scouts pay 33% of AH* value
- Players ranked Warlord and higher pay 25% of AH* value

Tab 4: Progression - Viewable by Staff and Leaders, accessible by Leaders. Reserve supply of specific materials which we see a reasonable chance of needing for raid-wide craftable gear in the future.

Tab 5: Flasks and Pots - Viewable by everyone of rank Member or higher, accessible by Staff and Leaders, contains food buffs, flasks, elixirs, potions, and the materials thereof. This is a reserve supply only: players ranked Scout or higher may request buffs from this tab for a progression raid if and only if they have exhausted all other options (auction house, assistance from guildies, purchasing mats and having them crafted for a tip, etc.). All items sell for 100% of AH* value, and all transactions go through Staff and/or Leaders. We encourage all members of the guild to lend their assistance to keeping this tab stocked; Warlords and higher can deposit directly, lower ranks should mail contributions to a Leader, with a note indicating the items are for the Raiding tab. If you wish to lend your cooking or alchemy services to upcraft mats into usable buffs, partner with a Staff or Leader to get er done.

Guild bank money is used for raiding purposes only. Do not ask for a loan.

Applicants do not have access to the guild bank.

Please be respectful of the guild bank, and in tabs for which you have depositing privileges, be attentive to the current organizational system, and don't deposit items that are of little or no value to level-80 players. The guild bank is not a place to throw your random garbage.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS SHOULD NEVER GO INTO THE GUILD BANK:
- Glyphs
- Cut gems of less-than-blue rarity (uncut green gems are acceptable)
- Gray items
- Gear, unless blue-or-better rarity and viable for a level-80 player
- Food without a level-70-or-higher buff (deviate food is always ok!)
- Crafting mats from pre-WotLK content
- Scrolls rank VI or lower (ranks VII and VIII are acceptable)
- Worthless shit

If you have items like this, and want to contribute, vendor/AH them, and donate the gold.

* Typically, we use wowhead's listed "Buyout" price as our working "AH" values to help dodge peaks and valleys in the Scilla economy. In the event of an extreme discrepancy we may use actual Scilla AH price.

3. Ranking System

Our ranks are centered around raiding. Advancement from Scout to Warlord is initiated by the player, so if you want a promotion, it is your responsibility to get in touch with your class leader or a Leader. Promotions to ranks higher than Warlord are initiated by the Leadership, not by the player.

Alt
Alternate character of a player ranked Member or higher. Raid privilieges: generally cannot raid, but in emergencies may be asked to, in which case they share a DKP pool with their main, provided their main is eligible to earn DKP.

Member
Accepted into and welcome in the guild, has agreed to abide by the guild rules. Able to access guild bank. Raid privileges: cannot earn DKP, cannot sign up on RaidNinja.

Peon
Interested in joining the guild, petition for membership under review by leadership. Application on website required. Raid privileges: can earn DKP, required to sign up on RaidNinja for every posted event. This is a 2 raid week evaluation rank. Where you will be evaluated by staff and either promoted to scout/warlord, demoted to member or removed from the guild. You will be evaluated on four things mainly. These are skill, awareness, attendance, and attitude. All four are equally important. You may be the most skilled player in the world but you have a poor attitude. You wont find a home with us.

Scout
Level 80 and interested in raiding, but not yet eligible for Warlord due to either gear and gameplay considerations, or lack of a commitment to using RaidNinja. Raid privileges: can earn DKP, optional to sign up on RaidNinja. This ranked is also used for people who can not make our full raid schedule but have the knowledge and gear to play at a high level. Any player at this rank are considered back ups.

Warlord
Ready to begin progression raiding at the guild's current level. Promotion to Warlord goes through class leaders and is based on gear, skill, knowledge, and a commitment to use RaidNinja for every raid event. Raid privileges: can earn DKP, required to sign up on RaidNinja for every posted event.

High Warlord
Exceptional raider, among the most geared, skilled, prepared, and reliable players in the guild, with a productive attitude. Have priority for every 25-man raid. One month at Warlord rank required. Nominated by Staff, with six Staff/Leader endorsements required for promotion. Raid privileges: can earn DKP, required to sign up on RaidNinja for every posted event.

Staff
Class leaders and raid leaders. Trusted to handle administration-related tasks, and to properly manage members of their class. Guild bank, vent, and forum moderation privileges. Raid privileges: can earn DKP, required to sign up on RaidNinja for every posted event.

Leader
Administrators of the guild.

4. Raiding
Raids require their own set of rules, and we have a separate thread for this purpose. This is essential information for anyone at all interested in raiding with TPA either now or in the future. If this is you, please check out our Raiding Rules now.

5. Questions?
Please review the guild FAQ before going to a Leader with a whole list of inquiries. That being said, do not hesitate to voice any concerns you have. Whispering a Leader or Staff is usually your best bet, but simple questions an often be answered more quickly on guild chat.
