Below is a concise list of all situations in which you will gain or lose DKP as a Raider in TPA, followed by all the guidelines and expectations you should be familiar with. Give this a read to make sure we're all on the same page. I know this seems like a lot, but it's really very basic stuff, and should be quick.

A. AttendanceExceptions are made when necessary due to either scheduling issues or as needed to build a stronger group for a particular raid, but generally, raiders have priority based on rank, in the following order:
1. Staff and High Warlords
2. Warlords
3. Scouts
4. Members
Within each rank, those in the "Signed Up" column always have priority over those in the "Possible" column, who in turn have priority over those who are online but did not sign up.
For more info on ranks and what they mean:
Guild RulesFor more info on RaidNinja setup:
RaidNinja, step by stepPlayers ranked Scout or higher are required to post availability on RaidNinja for all events.
Availability on RaidNinja means you are available
from 8:00 PM server until 12:00 AM server unless you leave a note on RaidNinja saying otherwise. If you are going to be late to a raid or will need to leave early, it is your responsibility to post on the forum or contact a Staff or Leader in game or by phone/text prior to 8:00 PM, or else you will lose DKP. Phatdad's cell is 660-229-2445. If you are leaving a voice or text message with a Leader, be sure to identify yourself.
Logging on at start time does not mean you are on time. On time involves being
ready: online, repaired, properly equipped with potions, flasks/elixirs, food, poisons, oil, ammo, at the summoning stone posted on the Bulletin Board for that night, all required mods installed, on Ventrilo.
Players who show up to a raid without full raid buffs (flasks or elixirs and max or near-max food buff) will lose 25 DKP at Leaders' discretion. Players are not required to buff themselves for every boss, but should have these buffs on them at every raid to be used when told to do so by the raid leader. Feast buffs and buffs from cheap food do not count as buffs; players who lean on feasts and cheap food for their "Well Fed" buffs will lose DKP per this rule.
A player who is 5+ minutes late loses 50 DKP and has forfeited their spot in the raid. If they show up, and a spot remains, they may still raid and earn DKP. A player 5+ minutes late may earn non-raiding DKP that night at the Leaders' discretion.
A player who disappears from raiding without explanation or who has shown unreasonable inconsistency in their ability to sign up on RaidNinja and show up on main raid nights is subject to having their DKP temporarily "frozen" at the discretion of usually their class leader and situationally the leadership as a whole. Players with frozen DKP continue to accumulate points as normal, but cannot bid on loot unless there are no competing bids. A player whose DKP is frozen will be informed prior to raiding under these conditions and will have specified to them a time at which point their DKP will become "unfrozen," usually a week of consistent raiding.
Every Monday Night: An Easymode Attendance DKP Guide- Post your availability on RaidNinja for Tues-Thurs.
- Stock yourself with raid buffs.
- Log on 10 minutes before the raid, and you'll be on time with time to spare.
If you feel you lost or were denied DKP unfairly (for example, a "Deserter" DKP penalty in a situation where it became impossible for you to raid due to an exploding computer), it is your responsibility to contact a Leader directly about this either in-game, via phone/text, or through the forum within 3 days of the incident. We will make every effort to correct any mistakes and oversights, but we cannot make any guarantees past 3 days, so please help us out by being prompt in presenting your case.

B. While RaidingEveryone in the raid must be on Ventrilo for all raids. If you are not on Vent, you will not raid, unless the Raid Leader specifically allows the exception.
Keep chatter to a minimum. Leadership should be the only voices on Ventrilo for 95% of the raid. Make necessary call-outs only, use whispers and chat whenever possible.
While not in combat, remain
behind the main tank at all times unless otherwise instructed.
You will receive 25 DKP for each 25-man raid boss you kill. You will receive 50 DKP for each 25-man progression boss (not yet killed by TPA) and end boss (last boss in a mutli-boss instance). You will receive 50dkp for each Hard mode boss you kill. You will receive 75dkp for 25 man hard mode progression boss you kill and end boss you kill (last boss in a multi-boss instance)
You will receive an amount deemed reasonable by a leader for sessions in which a progression boss is attempted but not killed.
Before a break, a return time will be specified by the raid leader. Near the end of the break, a ready check will be announced in Vent and raid chat. If you are AFK for the ready-check, you will lose 25 DKP. You will lose an additional 5 DKP for every additional minute you are AFK, up to a maximum of 50 DKP total for a single AFK incident (putting you at 7 minutes past ready-check). If you remain AFK 10 minutes past the ready-check, your spot in the raid is forfeited, and you will be replaced if possible. Deserter DKP is not deducted in this situation.
All that is required to avoid this DKP loss is to whisper the raid leader a brief explanation of what the situation is before going AFK.Any player found to be AFK during a raid without first having notified the raid leader through a whisper will lose 15 DKP.
During a pre-fight boss explanation, players who have not fought the current boss with The Panic Attacks are not permitted to go AFK except in a true emergency situation. Violation of this rule with result in loss of 15 DKP.
Every player must have the following mods installed:
- Omen
-
Deadly Boss Modsor
BigWigs- Your class leader may require additional class-specific mods
If you need help, try our

First Aid forum, or simply ask in guild chat.

C. LootWhen a piece drops in a 25-man raid, the raid leader will call for bids. Players who can use a piece for their main spec type "bid" in raid chat. Once all bidders have declared themselves, bidders whisper their maximum bid to the DKP admin (always announced in Vent, usually Loxan). The player with the highest maximum bid is awarded the loot, and is charged the amount of DKP required to beat out the second-highest maximum bid.
For example, if Player A has the highest bid with 175 DKP, and Player B had the second highest bid with 140 DKP, Player A receives the loot, and is charged 141 DKP.
The minimum bid is 100 DKP.
If there are no main spec bids, players on the
Free Offspec List may claim the loot.
If you wish to bid out of your armor class there will be a 200dkp penalty added. If no one is bidding on the piece for main spec there will be no penalty added. If you do not have enough dkp to pay the cost and the penalty then you will forfeit the item.
Example if you bid 500 dkp for the loot and the 2nd highest bid is 300 dkp then you win the loot for 301 dkp. We will then add 200 dkp and the total will be 501 dkp.
If loot goes unclaimed after both of these, anyone else who wants the piece may bid, and if there are no further bids, the loot will be sharded. If the loot is at this stage, and only one person wants the loot, they can then trade an abyss crystal for the loot. This will cost no dkp to the player. If there are multiple people who want's the loot for off spec. You can roll on it with highest person getting it for a shard. That is only if all people are willing to roll on it. If someone wants it for dkp then standard bidding rules apply.
A player who cannot afford the minimum bid may still bid on a piece for their main spec if there were no other bids, resulting in a negative DKP total.
In the event of tying bids, Staff may leave channel for a brief loot council, or they may simply ask the tied players to roll for the drop.
10-man raid loot in guild runs is handled by loot council and rolls at the discretion of leadership. DKP is not deducted for 10-man loot, nor is it earned for defeating bosses.

D. Non-Raiding DKPA player ranked Scout or higher who is on RaidNinja for an event but did not raid because of group build can farm the DKP that they missed by turning in a specific amount of mats or gold to a Leader. You can only farm up to 100% of that night's dkp. Mats and gold should be mailed to Phatdad by the afternoon of the next day. If you stay online and ready to go all night. You will receive 50% of that nights dkp. You can then turn in farm mats for the remaining dkp. If you are are afk when we need you to fill in you will not receive this bonus. In order to receive this bonus you must whisper Phatdad prior to the start of the raid. If you do not whisper Phatdad or another staff member in case Phatdad is absent you will not be eligible for the dkp.
A list of mats that qualify for DKP can be found
here.
Non-raiding DKP farmers should show up to the instance as if they were raiding, so that they can be quickly subbed in in the event of a no-show.

E. Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: Do Scouts, Members, and Applicants earn DKP?A: Scouts earn DKP at the same rate as Warlords and High Warlords, although the latter do precede the former in terms of raid priority, so they tend to have much higher DKP totals. Members and Applicants cannot earn DKP.
Q: Do I need to download a mod for DKP purposes?A: No.
Q: How do I know how much DKP my guildies and I have?A: The link for the DKP website is located at the top of your page, alongside the "Calendar" button you normally use to access RaidNinja. If at any time you need to know your current DKP total during a raid, whisper "!dkp" (no quotes) to that raid's DKP admin. 99% of the time, this will be Rifthood or Phatdad. If you don't know who is running DKP for your raid, just ask. Keep in mind, if you try to check your DKP with the wrong person, you may get bad information back, so don't hesitate to ask.
Q: Can I earn DKP on non-raiding nights?A: No.
Q: What if I see a mistake in the DKP table?A: Notify a Leader immediately. Mistakes can happen from time to time. Rest assured it was not intentional, and we will correct the mistake as soon as possible once we have identified it.
More FAQ to come as we get them. If you do have a question, whisper a Staff or Leader, or ask someone on Vent! There is also a thread in the Town Square forum to address
questions and concerns about the new rules.
